Questions from our Clients
1. How many people click the ads at the top vs later in the page (organic results)? – Most studies indicate that a large majority of clicks go to organic results rather than paid ads. In many cases, only about 10–15% of clicks go to the top-of-page ads, while organic results receive around 70–80% (or sometimes even more) of all clicks. – So go Organic! Go SEO! Go Blogging!
Several factors contribute to this behavior:
User Trust: Many users perceive organic results as more relevant or trustworthy because they are ranked by Google’s algorithms rather than paid for.
Ad Blindness: Some users have developed “ad blindness” and tend to ignore anything that looks like an ad, even if it’s positioned at the top.
Intent: Users often search with specific intent and prefer to click on what they believe will provide the most relevant information, which they assume will be found in the organic listings.
It’s important to note that these numbers can vary depending on the search query, device type, and even the way Google displays the ads (e.g., with or without extensions). However, the overall trend is clear: far fewer than 50% of clicks go to the ads at the top, and organic results dominate click-through rates.
2. What is included in an SEO audit? – The SEO audit includes reports and analysis of competitors as well as a complete review of your website and where you rank on Google overall. We check the top 5-15 of the top keywords for your business to see where you rank vs competitors.
From the competitors side, we compare where they are and what they are doing to get ahead. Including analysis of competitors keywords and authority score as well as backlinks that you and your competitors have. A offer a complete SEO report that is over 20 pages and details errors on site, warnings, and issues with site structure and more. We also have our team analyze how to improve your site as well as blog recommendations and social media work.
3. Are voice searches a thing? Are they good to focus on? – Yes, here are some stats Popularity and Usage:
-
Adoption: Around 58% of people have used voice search on their smartphones.
-
Frequency: Roughly 41% of adults use voice search at least once per day.
-

We currently optimize our customers with listings that covers voice searches for Siri, Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa, and more. We even have the ability to include prompts and answers in voice searches for those on our listings package.
4. Should I do Google Guaranteed or Google LSA? – It varies for each business but our experience shows that around 20% of customers actually benefit from LSA. This is in large part due to competition and budgets as Google LSA has less knobs for us to turn for optimization. We do help many businesses get Google Guaranteed though and run the top sponsored ads for your category. If interested let us know and we can see if it is right for you.
5. Is there anything new that is helping customers or new trends or top SEO tips or tech I should be aware of now for my business? – Great question! A lot businesses don’t utilize stories on social as much as they should. This includes having consistent video reels on social to promote your brand. More personal posts, get to know the team really does well right now than just an information post as well. From the SEO side, businesses should blog! It might seem old school but AI is hungry for content and blogging is the best way to feed it content.
Finally from the tool side, we recommend trying AI tools like nightcafe, or video integration tools but be careful; many of those tools make videos that are creepy and too uncanny valley where the AI just looks weird. I think it’s important to note, there are no NEW seo tips. It’s the same SEO as always, just with new tools. Until Googles algorithm changes, we will be doing SEO the same way as always. Tried and true SEO techniques, that focus on UX, Keywords, Content Optimization, Listings, Local SEO.
