Book Review - You, the magician

Book Review – You, the Magician

You, the Magician by Josh Carothers & Jodi Maestras Carothers is an explosive colorful creation packed with powerful imagery and wise-words.

“I haven’t seen a lot of books that address the mindfulness niche. It is filled with great ideas and lessons” – Lauren Columbus, Ohio

It is said that this book is not a children’s book and was written for adults but kids love it. Although the book is advanced for my three-year old nephew, the lessons contained within leave adults spellbound. It crafts a new genre of children’s books as it weaves an interesting tale about a bird and its magical journey through life. The book is just the right length too and keeps children’s attention. I recommend this book for all ages and great to go back to as it contains some big concepts in such short simple narrative.

The book is a translation of mindful narrative mixed with appealing visuals. This is a well-thought out tale that is as much a joy for the children you are reading to as it is the adult. It offers deep focus and insight toward mindfulness and being present in your daily life. I only hope that more books in future encourage mindfulness to children and adults.

“As a daily reminder tell yourself this, ‘I believe in myself. I create what I wish.'” – You, The Magician
